The Love Page Express Legals-Only marriage ceremony is just that - the minimum legal requirements for you to get married, without having a wedding. It’s a relaxed, flexible, convenient, private and unique way to get married, popular with couples having an overseas wedding who need to get the legal paperwork done at home in Australia, or those who value a low-key, private and accessible way to bind their love.

What do we need for a ‘Legals Only’ ceremony with The Love Page Celebrant?
You two: consenting, over 18, not closely related, not currently married to anyone else.
Another two: to be our witnesses. They just need to be over 18 and to be able to understand what we are saying and doing. You can bring two buddies, or we can make someone’s day by asking them to listen in and sign the papers - maybe it’s the waitstaff, maybe it’s the lovelies at the table next to us, maybe it’s a dog walker - trust me, they’ll be overjoyed!
Me and you: I will say the legally required words, get you to say the legally required vows, and in about 150 words, BOOM we (well, you) are wed!
The paperwork: We will lodge the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one calendar month before the marriage date on a quick videocall from your phone or computer. On the day, I will bring along all of the other required paperwork, including your certificates. And within 24 hours, I will lodge your marriage with Births Deaths and Marriages, and apply for your official certificate on your behalf - no extra cost, no surprises there for your wallet.
Any extras: yes, if you’d like you can exchange rings and prepare and say your own vows, ask me and I’ll send you my Vow Writing Guide! If you’re after a love story and a ceremony with guests, it sounds like you’re after a micro or small wedding or my signature Full Page wedding ceremony.
Sounds good, when can we get married?
If you want to get married quickly, we can do it as early as one month from the day we get the NOIM witnessed, signed and lodged.
If you need to do it sooner, you may be eligible to apply for a shortening of time under limited special circumstances.
This option is for weekdays. If you’re busting for a weekend date though please do ask, you may be in luck.
We can do it over a coffee mid morning, and then you can go out for a lovely lunch.

How much does a legals only wedding cost on the Central Coast?
My Love Page Express legals only ceremony is $649, Monday to Friday, during business hours. That covers everything: your Notice of Intended Marriage, the ceremony itself, lodging your marriage with NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages, and ordering your official marriage certificate. No hidden extras, no surprises for your wallet.
Is a legals only wedding cheaper than the registry?
I'll be honest with you: on basic starting price alone, the NSW Registry at Pyrmont is cheaper, starting from $482 on weekdays. But you'll both need to head to Sydney for an in-person interview first, then back again for the ceremony itself at a desk in a small registry room, with an unallocated celebrant. With me, it's one quick, friendly online chat and then we meet somewhere local you love, so you're saving yourselves two days of driving and parking in the city.
What's included in a legals only ceremony?
All the legal bits, handled start to finish. I'll lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage, bring every document we need on the day, say the legally required words and walk you through your legal vows. Within 24 hours I'll lodge your marriage with Births, Deaths and Marriages and order your official certificate for you.
How soon can we get married?
Legally, your Notice of Intended Marriage needs to be lodged at least one calendar month before your wedding, so we can marry you as soon as a month from then. If you need to move faster, you may be eligible for a shortening of time in some special circumstances. Just ask me and I'll let you know if it could apply to you.
Can we exchange rings or say our own vows?

Yes, the law says you need two witnesses who are over 18 and understand what's happening. Bring two of your favourite people, or we can make someone's day by asking the lovely waitstaff or the couple at the next table. Trust me, they're always delighted.

We're getting married overseas. Can you do the legal part here?
Yes, and this is one of my favourite reasons couples book the Love Page Express! We'll make it legal here on the Coast, then you can head off and have the celebration of your dreams wherever in the world you like, with the paperwork already sorted.
A lot of couples who have a wedding in Fiji, Bali, the Greek Islands, Italy or even Las Vegas tend to do this.

The Love Page Express runs Monday to Friday. If you're busting for a weekend date though, send me a message and you might be in luck.
